Who We Are
Stone Church is a contemporary, family centered full-gospel Church with an awesome history that helped shape U.S. church culture, and we’re just getting started!
Pastor Adrien Thorne serves as our Lead Pastor. Pastor Adrien previously pastored in Michigan for 12 1/2 years. He is a graduate of Northpoint Bible College in Haverhill, MA. He and his family have been at Stone Church since August of 2019. Pastor Adrien and Kristina Thorne have been married since 2003 and they have three girls, Madelyn, Sophia and Anna. Kristina works for Cure International, a Christian non-profit organization that owns and operates 8 charitable children’s hospitals around the world! Associate/Worship Pastor
Beth Benda joined the team at Stone Church in 2022 and serves as the Associate/Worship Pastor. Beth grew up at Stone Church and went on to pastor in other ministries both locally and out of state. Youth Pastor
Mark Brody serves as the Youth Pastor. He grew up at Calvary Church in Naperville and served in youth ministry for five years. He has a passion for seeing young people’s lives changed by Christ and enjoys finding creative ways to share God’s heart! Contact Pastor Mark at pastormark@thestonechurch.org
Children’s Pastor
Michael DiZanni serves as the Children’s Pastor. He has attended and served at Stone Church his entire life. In 2019, he joined the team as the Children’s Ministry Director, and in 2022 he became the Children’s Pastor. Church Administrator
Randi Bianchi serves as the Church Administrator. She grew up in Tennessee, earning her bachelor’s at Bryan College, and then moved to Orland Park when she married her best friend, Joshua Bianchi, in 2022. We all have a history! Our heart at Stone Church is about seeing a supernatural God who can intervene, direct and guide His kids through very practical circumstances! We do not pretend to be more than we are, but we also do not dumb down God’s ability to take very broken people and do very real works in them either!
Our Church
Stone Church began as a small Church hungry for God and was birthed by a powerful move of the Holy Spirit in 1906! The church was founded in a rented space in Chicago. After being in four Chicago locations, the church moved to Palos Heights and then Orland Park in 2010. Stone Church has been at the center of some of the greatest moves of God’s presence and has hosted some of the world’s greatest preachers! Under the new leadership of Pastor Adrien Thorne, Stone Church is experiencing exciting growth and revitalization with many new changes taking place!
Neither our history, nor our heart has ever been about a nominal Christian experience. Stone Church has always been, and will always be a Church that focusses on encountering, pursuing and loving a living God who still acts, speaks and performs His purpose in His Church and in the world!
